The Commission is going to invite individuals to submit testimony and accounts of their own or close relatives’ experiences of assimilation policy. These personal accounts are important for the Commission since it is not possible to examine everything that happened in the past with the aid of written material in archives.
Who can share their story?
The testimonies can be about what you yourself or one of your close relatives was subjected to at day school or residential vocational school (arbetsstuga). But it can also be about describing how assimilation policy has affected you as an adult or how it affects you as a young person today. It is important for the Commission to make the diverse range of the individual and collective experiences visible. All accounts are of equal value.
You can register your interest in a personal interview by mailing your contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
